Waterman and workboats of the Chesapeake bay :

Cap Wade of the Skipjack Rebecca T. Ruark about to spin one (tell a yarn or story) about the bay blue crabs low populations. Scientist say it's a long term trend due to the bay's poor water quality. Waterman say its a shorter term cycle of nature, and the crabs are due for a comeback. (see article and video on Captain Wade here)

Rotting and neglected classic Chesapeake bay Skipjack at the narrows of Tilghman island 2003. Like the bay itself, old wood boats, old wood decoys, and all resources of the Chesapeake; the cry is for preservation, restoration, replenishment.

A restored Classic and rare Hooper Island Duck tail workboat. Waterman checks old engine of choice, a 440 Oldsmobil car engine, converted by self-sufficient waterman for marine use.

A real beauty, great lines, a fine sheer and of course, shipshape in Bristol fashion.
