Restored Skipjack Martha Lewis on the Susquehanna flats at Havre de Grace, Maryland. The few remaining Skipjacks around the bay are being restored to enhance the history and culture of the Chesapeake. This Skipjack lends real atmosphere to the waterfront dock below the Decoy Museum.

Cabin, Sail and boom and Oyster dredging winch of the Skipjack Martha Lewis of Havre de Grace, Maryland
Skipjack Pusher boat. More engine than boat, these unusual craft were used to push the sail powered Skipjacks when there was no wind and other special circumstances. Laws allowed sail power only for Oyster dredging Skipjacks to help prevent over harvest of Oyster stocks.
The old Decoy carvers and Market hunters gather around the wood stove to talk over the good times in this life like wax depiction of the Susquehanna Decoy and Hunting culture of the early 20th century. This display alone is worth the price of admission to the Decoy Museum at Havre de Grace.
Sneak boat, Jack light and 7 barrel Battery gun complete the outfit of the Market hunter of the old Susquehanna Market hunting days of the late 19th and early 20th century. The Sneak boat was deafly maneuvered into gunning range close to the large concentrations of Canvasback ducks at night.
